Leaving Europe after a year was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Even months later, I have trouble being anything less than emotional about leaving behind the friends, the memories, the life I had there. I will go back; that’s for sure. But until then, thank goodness we never recover from good memories.

For all the talk of information empowerment thanks to the Internet, it occurred to me that having that information and not being able to, or just not bothering to, do anything about it, is just criminal. See crime by omission.

Also, an experiment in viability of narrative continuity with just typographic variations.

A short story; my homage to Brian Aldiss for inspiring the short story that drives the plot of Spielberg’s (Kubrick’s?) A.I. In retrospect, I suppose it does start off a bit on the emo side; hopefully that doesn’t detract from the plot too much. Lots of references in there too!
